I create assemblages using hand-dyed silks, high quality cottons and various mongrel fabrics, such as glistening metallics They are layered and quilted using the tricky technique of freehand, freemotion machine quilting. My emphasis is on color relationships and I create color blends that dazzle the eye. The colors I am drawn to are saturated and rich - seldom the combinations found in traditional quilts. My mastery of creating large scale pieces makes my art an ideal choice for larger commercial/corporate work.
